  • Designed and maintained web sites, provided desktop publishing support, and served as Public and Media Relations Coordinator at U.S. Space Camp Florida/Astronaut Hall of Fame in Titusville, Fla. 
  • Maintained ad management software and coordinated client web sites with Cars.com and NewHomeNetwork.com as Online Production Coordinator in the New Media Department at Florida Today newspaper in Melbourne, Fla.
  • Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Central Florida. 
  • Married to a freelance photographer, Heiney is a native and lifelong resident of Brevard County, Fla.

Involvement in pre-launch briefings can take one of three forms -- either as the master of ceremonies, a presenter or a scriptwriter.  The briefing is composed of two twenty minute presentations -- one that focuses on KSC as a wildlife refuge and also provides an overview of Shuttle processing, followed by a second presentation that highlights projected mission, science and crew activities.
