Update
The
Aqua spacecraft remains at the Spaceport Systems International
payload processing facility on South Vandenberg Air Force Base.
Due to difficulties mating the spacecraft to the payload attach
fitting (PAF), the spacecraft was expected to be transported to
SLC-2 and mated to the Delta vehicle no earlier than Wednesday,
April 17. Launch is now expected the first week of May.

Register
for UCF Engineering Entrepreneurship Certificate Program at KSC
Summer 02
In the Summer 2002 term (starting
May 7), a state-of-the-art course in "High Tech Product Strategy"
will be offered as part of the Engineering Entrepreneurship Certificate
program at KSC. There are no prerequisites for this course. For
more information and registration, please contact Dr. Carmo D'Cruz
at cdcruz@mail.ucf.edu or 321-773-6084. UCF's Engineering
Entrepreneurship Certificate Program at KSC has been recognized
by the National Collegiate In-ventors and Innovators Alliance
(NCIIA) as one of the most innovative, well-planned and effective
technical entre-preneurship programs in the country.

Energy
101 Training Class
Energy 101
is being offered during Environmental & Energy Awareness Week,
open to all KSC, CCAFS, and PAFB employees, sponsored by SGS.
The course is a simplified, down to earth discussion of energy
at KSC and CCAFS and how it relates to real-life Facility Managers.
The course will be held on April 23, from 9-9:30 a.m., in the
Training Auditorium. Kevin Riley, from the SGS Energy Management
Office, will be the instructor. Kevin is a graduate from UCF in
Orlando with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is a licensed
Professional Engineer in the State of Florida.

Mobile
Wheelchair Lift Available
The Disability
Awareness and Action Working Group (DAAWG) is proud to announce
the availability of a new mobile wheelchair lift that can be utilized
at KSC and CCAFS. The lift's weight capacity is 650 pounds and
maximum vertical reach is 54 inches. The lift requires a 110-volt
receptacle for power. It is intended for nonroutine use and must
be requested at least 72 hours in advance by calling the Disability
Program Coordinator at 867-6923. This information is provided
by the Disability Awareness and Action Working Group (DAAWG).

Do You
Know How to Enter the Electric Bill Contests?
During
Environmental & Energy Awareness Week April 23-24, entry forms
can be found at the Energy Management tables to the"Guess
how much the Electric Bill is for April 2002 in the Industrial
Area and LC-39 Area?" contest. April 23 will be the Industrial
Area contest located in front of the KSC Headquarters Building
(tent area) and April 24 will be the LC-39 Area contest located
in the VAB Area/Parking Lot E (tent area). Sample bills will be
located at the Energy Management tables. The winners will be announced
on Friday, April 26.
