Atlantis to land Friday
With all objectives of the STS-110 mission met, the crew is scheduled to return to KSC aboard Atlantis on Friday, April 19, on the first landing opportunity at 12:26 p.m. EDT. A second landing option is 2:02 p.m. Weather-wise, the forecast looks good for landing. A large high pressure system centered over the Atlantic will dominate the weather picture over Florida through the weekend. An onshore flow is expected for both Friday and Saturday causing light southeast winds and scattered clouds.

Global Climate Change Research Site Tour Summer 02
During Environmental & Energy Awareness Week, Dynamac Corporation will be sponsoring a Global Climate Change Research Site Tour on April 23 & 24 from 1 - 1:45 p.m. Since 1990, Kennedy Space Center has been involved in an ongoing study to evaluate the effects of double atmospheric carbon dioxide on Florida ecosystems. This research is funded by the Department of Energy in a grant to the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. Dynamac Corp.'s Chief Scientist Ross Hinkle, Ph.D., will guide a trip to the research site and highlight some of the major findings to date. The first 20 employees to sign up at the Dynamac Table (April 23, in front of the HQS Building, and April 24, at the VAB Area/ Parking Lot E) will take off at 1 p.m. sharp each day! You must receive your supervisor's approval before taking this tour. If you have any questions about the tour, please contact Shannah Trout, Dynamac, at 867-8443.



FEW Membershp Meeting
Join the Space Coast Chapter of Federally Employed Women (FEW) at their annual Membership Meeting Tuesday, April 23, between 4:30 and 5 p.m. at Kelsey's Restaurant (Port St. John). Learn what the chapter is about, the projects members are working, and the benefits of belonging to this non-profit organization. You can also learn more about the 2002 National Training Program (NTP) in Orlando, Florida this summer. Refreshments will be provided to the attendees and door prizes will be awarded to some lucky winners! This is a great time to meet members of the chapter. Attend the meeting and discover what FEW can do for YOU.


Bridge Inspection To Close One Lane
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has advised that the A. Max Brewer Bridge on SR 402 (North End of Kennedy Space Center leading to Titusville) will undergo an inspec-tion on Saturday, April 20 and Friday, April 26. This will require the temporary closure of one lane of traffic between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Flag men will alternate two-way traffic on the open lane. All affected employees are requested to seek alternative routes of travel during this period.

To commemorate Environmental and Energy Awareness Week, t-shirts will be available beginning on Monday, April 22, in the HQ Exchange Store. Shirts will also be available at the EEAW event, next to the welcome tent, on April 23 - 24. The t-shirts available range in size from S to XXXL.
