Shuttle Update
Columbia's rollout to Launch Pad 39A in preparation for mission STS-109 was postponed yesterday due to a steering problem in the crawler-transporter. The problem -- a faulty bearing in the steering linkage of Power Truck Drive D -- was detected before the C-T left the VAB. Rollout has been rescheduled for today, beginning at 6 a.m.

Mission Presentation
The STS-108 Crew will be at KSC today, Jan. 24, to talk with employees about their mission. Their presentation will be held from 1- 2 p.m. in the Mission Briefing Room located in the O&C Building. This will be their only presentation to employees.


Successful Aging: What You Need To Know To Be Fit Over Fifty
Join Kay Murray and the Fit Over Fifty Exercise Class to discuss personal experiences on how to age successfully through diet, exercise and stress manage-ment. Murray and guests will describe their own experi-ences in having a heart attack, preventing a heart attack, and how to stay on the road of wellness. The class is being held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 11:30 in room 1055 of the O&C. Please call the O&C Fitness Center at 867-7829 for more information.


New Web Site Offers Money-Saving Tips to Homeowners
Thinking of replacing an existing furnace or central air conditioner? Is the existing system costing more to run than it has to? Blood Drive
Chris Hinds, Coordinator, Cooperative Education, reports that a NASA-sponsored Blood Donor Drive is scheduled for Jan. 28. The American Red Cross will be accepting donations on Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in a Bloodmobile located behind the Headquarters Building Courtyard. If you would like to schedule your appointment, please contact Virginia Michel at 867-2349 or Michel-1, Virginia. In an effort to show our unity, and as a token of appreciation for our donors, all who give blood will be able to participate in a drawing to win one of the following: 10 American Red Cross T-shirts; 20 three-color Red Cross hi-liter pens; 20 Red Cross Koozies (can coolers); 6 Red Cross digital desk clocks; 4 Red Cross flashlights; 3 Stuffed toys (Buddy Blood Drop, etc.).


Health Handouts And Counseling
On a monthly basis at various Cafes, Carol Roth, RN, MSN, the administrator of the Health Education and Wellness Pro-gram, will be offering handouts and counseling regarding health concerns. This month's focus will be Cholesterol, Triglycerides and Dietary Fats. Please join Lackmann Culinary Services in welcoming Ms. Roth to the HQ Cafe from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, Jan. 24.

SR 3 is being reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily during construction at the new Space Commerce Way intersection.
