Did You
Know?
Two KSC events have been rescheduled:
1) The beach cleanup previously scheduled for March 14,
has been rescheduled. More than 85 volunteers had registered for
the cleanup, which had to be canceled due to hazardous operations
on CCAFS. The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), in partnership
with NASA, has rescheduled the beach clean up for April 12, from
1-3:30 p.m. The cleanup is open to all permanently badged KSC
employees who wish to volunteer. The purpose of the event is to
rid the beach of debris in advance of the sea turtle nesting season.
Each year winter storms deposit tons of de-bris that can present
hazards to nesting turtles and birds on KSC beaches. Volunteers
will meet at the VAB parking lot just across from the MFF Cafeteria,
at 12:30 p.m. on April 12. Bus transportation will be provided
between this stag-ing site and the beach. All volunteers must
obtain their su-pervisor's permission in order to participate.
Call FWS at 861-0667 to sign up or to obtain additional information.
All interested participants need to call before April 10 to volunteer.
2)
The Health Education And Wellness presentation on Post-Traumatic
Stress Syndrome that was scheduled for March 21 at the MFF
Cafe' has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 28, from 11 a.m.
until 1 p.m.. Carol Roth, RN, MSN, will have handouts available
and be available for counseling on any health subject or concern.
