Mission Update
drawing of night launch
The roar and rumble and illuminated night sky you experience early Monday morning will not be a Florida storm but the Space Shuttle Endeavour lifting off on mission STS-113 to the Space Station. The launch window is between midnight and 4 a.m. Check the news Saturday evening, or online at www.ksc.nasa.gov , for the exact time. The Shuttle will carry six astronauts and one cosmonaut: the Shuttle crew's Commander James Wetherbee, Pilot Paul Lockhart, and Mission Specialists Michael Lopez-Alegria and John Herrington; and the Expedition 6 crew Commander Ken Bowersox and flight engineers Nikolai Budarin and Donald Pettit. Budarin represents the Russian Space Agency. Expedition 6 will be replacing Expedition 5 on the Station.

Apollo 13 and IMAX
The KSC Visitor Complex will host a special evening Nov. 13 with Apollo 13 Commander James Lovell and Flight Director Gene Kranz. Guests will enjoy a special screening of the academy-award-winning film of the true story of Apollo 13, a buffet dinner and talks by Lovell and Kranz about their experiences during the mission. Tickets are $65 per adult and $43 per child. Ticket prices, which do not include tax or handling fee, must be ordered in advance, either online at www.KennedySpaceCenter.com or by calling 321-449-4400.
