Be
prepared in an emergency
Windsocks are commonly seen around airports. They are also positioned
around facilities across KSC to determine wind direction in the
im-mediate area. If an evacuation of your work site is ever called,
the evacuation authority will look at the overall wind direction
to choose the EEAP/marshalling area. If no an-nouncement is made,
you should note the direction of all windsocks in the area and
evacuate crosswind or upwind to the marshalling area.
