One
NASA initiative to roll out
on NASA TV
NASA Headquarters selected KSC to be the first center to host
a One NASA Agency rollout. Make sure you don’t miss this
televised meeting from the IMAX Theater Aug. 20 at 10 a.m., which
will feature Agency leaders and selected employees discussing
this effort. Additional activities, not featured on NASA TV, will
be featured in an upcoming Spaceport News. For further
multimedia
information, call 867-2468 or visit http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/highlights/index.html
White
Paper Recycle Pickup
On Wednesday, Aug. 20, KSC’s white paper recycling contractor,
East Coast Paper Stock Inc., will be on Center to empty the blue
bins (with wheels on back). Please empty all your white paper
into the recycling bins. As a reminder, all roll-offs (large blue
containers with sliding doors located outside some facilities)
are emptied on an as-needed basis and must be called in when they
become three-quarters full – call the Recycling Coordinator
at 867-6584. Please no newspaper, colored paper, cardboard or
trash/ garbage in the bins or roll-offs. Contamination in recycling
containers hinders and ruins otherwise good recyclables, costs
money and must be transported to the landfill. This results in
additional time, energy and money spent for the disposal of this
material, which reduces the money that the Center receives from
the recycling of the white paper. Let’s all recycle to preserve
our environment.
