Did You Know?
Lightning is the #1 weather killer in Florida, killing more than tornadoes or hurricanes.

Lightning also inflicts life-long debilitating injuries on many more than it kills. During lightning season (May-September) you should know that lightning kills by cardiac arrest or the resultant stop of breathing. Recommended first aid: Call 9-1-1, apply CPR or rescue breathing if you have been trained to do so. For lightning safety training, please call 45 WS at 853-8410, or Spaceport Emer-gency Preparedness at 853-6861.
