New
Exhibits at the KSC Visitor Complex
A full-scale Wright Flyer and Brevard Space Art are on display
at KSC Visitor Complex; Mars Rover is coming soon. KSC employees
are invited to stop by the VC to view several new wonderful exhibits,
which will only be on display for a limited time. This year is
the Centennial of Flight, and on the west side of the IMAX Theater
is a full-scale replica of the Wright Flyer. It will be on display
through May 1. The flyer was built by AIAA, and the supplies used
resemble as much as possible the original built in 1903. Until
April 30, visitors can view paintings depicting the history of
KSC by the Brevard Watercolor Society. Thirty paintings are being
shown in the east side of the IMAX Theater. A life-sized model
of the next Mars Rover, to be launched in May, will be on display
beginning in mid-April in the New Millennium Theater. KSC employees
must show their badges at the ticket booths in exchange for a
limited admission pass. The ticket is not redeemable for the IMAX
movie or a bus tour.
