Parsons
to take new role
Last week NASA announced the selection of Bill Parsons as the
new manager for the Space Shuttle Program. Previously director
of the NASA John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, Parsons
succeeds Ron Dittemore, who announced his resig-nation April 23.
Dittemore, who served as the Shuttle program manager for more
than four years, will remain in his position until the Columbia
Accident Investigation Board finishes its investigation and a
complete Return to Flight path has been established.

Of Aerobics To Visit KSC
Come
listen, learn and get motivated by Dr. Kenneth Cooper, who began
the physical fitness movement in the early 70s and became known
internationally as the Father of Aerobics. He will talk on "Fitness
and Obesity Rates" at the Training Auditorium Thursday, June
5, from Noon-1 p.m. Join us for a chance to win door prizes! The
presentation will also be broadcast on NASA TV, Channel 60.

Update
Barry University will begin registration for the Summer and Fall
terms beginning May 19. Courses being offered lead to bachelor
degrees in information technology, professional administration,
human resources, psychology and public administration. Classes
in Brevard County are offered at four convenient locations in
Titusville, Merritt Island, Melbourne and Palm Bay. In addition,
Barry also offers courses in South and East Orlando. Barry offers
four, nine-week terms per year as well as a summer mini-semester
with classes scheduled in the evenings and weekends to accommodate
the working adult. Students are provided with personal academic
advising and may also be eligible to earn up to 30 credits toward

2003 Workshop deadline for early bird registration nearing
The Federal Energy Management Program's (FEMP) Energy 2003 6th
Workshop, "Real World, Real Solutions," will be held
Aug. 17-20 at the Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa in Lake Buena
Vista. Orlando, Fla. To assure your place at this important event
and to save $100 on registration fees, you must register by June
2. The Wyndham will guarantee rooms no later than July 24, so
please call and make reservations soon. The workshop is sponsored
by FEMP and co-sponsored by the DOD and GSA. More than 150 of
the nation's energy experts will give presentations, discuss success
stories and offer tips that will help government and private sector
energy management professionals learn first-hand about the tools
