Make A Difference Day
Center Director Jim Kennedy encourages participation in this year's Make a Difference Day, Oct. 24 - 25. NASA employees are allowed up to 4 hours of administrative leave on Friday, Oct. 24, with their supervisor’s approval. This year’s Make a Difference Day is sponsored by United Way of Brevard County and many other local businesses such as Florida Today, Publix, Ron Jon’s and Riverside Bank. It is the largest volunteer service effort that provides employees with an increased awareness of the needs of the Brevard community. Last year, volunteers from 32 companies and organizations created a force of 950 dedicated individuals who completed 62 community service projects. You can review available projects and register to volunteer at http://uwbrevard.org/atwork.htm/ . If you have any questions, please call MADD Coordinator Shelley Hoffert at 631-2740, or e-mail shoffert@uwbrevard.org.
