ISS Status Briefing

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -– At 11 a.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 30, a briefing was held at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX to review the current status of the International Space Station, the unmanned Russian supply ship Progress 6 and the upcoming launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour on STS-108. Jim Van Laak, Manager, ISS Operations and Integration

Jim Van Laak, Manager of Space Station Operations and Integration at Johnson Space Center, announced that the current plan is for the Expedition Three crew currently living on ISS to conduct a spacewalk on Monday to remove the debris that is preventing the docking of Progress 6. American and Russian teams will assess the outcome of Monday's spacewalk and if it is determined a success, launch of Shuttle Endeavour on STS-108 will be targeted for 5:45 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
