Did You Know?

The flight crew arrived Image of Shuttle with American Flag and launch complex in background.at Kennedy Space Center on Monday, February 25 at 1:00 a.m. EST

At launch minus 11 hours a planned countdown hold -- called a built-in hold -- begins.

This hold period can last for up to 13 hours, 25 minutes depending on the type of payload, tests required and other factors. This time is also used, if needed, to perform tasks in the countdown that may not have been completed earlier.

**Due to the weather postponement of the launch for a 24 hour turn around, the T-11 hold was extended to 36 hours and 32 minutes.**
