Atlantis
Shuttle
Mission: STS-112
Date:
October 7, 2002
KENNEDY
SPACE CENTER, Fla. -–
At a briefing two days before the launch of Shuttle Atlantis,
launch officials discuss launch preparations and weather issues.
Weather is the primary concern at this time, as Hurricane Lili
is projected approach the Gulf Coast of the United States, possibly
near Houston, in the coming days. On STS-112, Atlantis will
carry the S1 Integrated Truss Structure, the first starboard
truss segment, to be attached to the central truss segment,
S0, and the Crew and Equipment Translation Aid (CETA) Cart A.
