LAUNCH DATE and TIME: Nov. 3 at 11:59 a.m. EST EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE LANDING DATE and TIME: Nov. 14 at 10:34 a.m. EST MISSION DURATION: 10 days/22 hours/34 minutes The orbiter Atlantis, riding atop the 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, departed Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., today at about 9:30 a.m. EDT en route to Kelly Air Force Base, San Antonio, Tx. The 747 will be refueled and a weather assessment made to determine the likelihood of Atlantis returning to Kennedy Space Center as early as late this afternoon. If weather does not permit, Atlantis and the 747 will remain overnight at a location as far east as weather permits and return to Kennedy Space Center tomorrow morning. (Yesterday's scheduled departure from Edwards was postponed due to weather in Texas.)
