STS-69 IN WORK:

· Aft main engine compartment closeouts
· Replacement of  Range Safety System batteries with fresh batteries

· Solid rocket booster repair and  confidence work ( NET Wednesday night)

STS-69 WORK COMPLETED:

· Removal of solid rocket booster thermal curtains and insulation
· solid rocket booster nozzle environmental conditioning


Columbia/OV-102 (STS-73) U.S. Microgravity Laboratory-2
OPF Bay 3

	Main engine No. 2 has been removed.  The replacement engine,
which does not have a block one liquid oxygen pump, is being
installed today.  A functional test of the Inertial Measurement Units
is also being performed today.  The weight and center of gravity
determinations will be performed this weekend.  Rollover is currently
targeted for Monday, August 21.  Repairs to the STS-73 solid rocket
boosters will be made at the launch pad.


Atlantis/OV-104 (STS-74) Russian Docking Module
OPF Bay 2

	A functional test of the orbital maneuvering system is being
performed today.  Drag chute installation and securing is also
underway.  Initial potable water servicing activities were completed
last night.  The functional test of the auxiliary power units
continues.  Preparations are beginning to install the remote
manipulator arm.

	In the Vehicle Assembly Building, electrical modifications to
the orbiter docking system are continuing. Stacking of the left  aft
center solid rocket booster segment is scheduled for today.  Repairs
to the STS-74 solid rocket boosters will be made at the launch pad.


Discovery/OV-103
OPF Bay 1

	Preparations continue to prepare Discovery for the ferry
flight to Palmdale which is planned to begin on or about Oct. 1.
