      KSC SPACE SHUTTLE STATUS REPORT Friday, August 18, 1995 Vehicle: OV-105/Endeavour Mission number: STS-69 Location: Pad 39-A Primary payload: Wake Shield Facility/Spartan 201-3 Astronauts: 5 Orbital altitude: 230 statute miles Inclination: 28.45 degrees Mission Duration: 10 days, 20 hours, 29 minutes Launch date: late August Landing date: TBD STS-69 IN WORK: · Solid rocket booster nozzle plug removal STS-69 WORK SCHEDULED: · Begin solid rocket booster RTV excavation (Saturday) STS-69 WORK COMPLETED: · Completion and sign-off of solid rocket booster repair procedure Columbia/OV-102 (STS-73) U.S. Microgravity Laboratory-2 OPF Bay 3 The startracker door is being reinstalled today and the orbiter is being jacked down in preparation for the weight and center of gravity determination which is scheduled for tonight. Tile waterproofing and installation of Columbia onto the orbiter transporter will occur this weekend. Rollover of Columbia to the VAB is scheduled for Monday, August 21 at 9 a.m. Rollout to Pad 39-B is scheduled for Aug. 28. The Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test is tentatively planned for a T-0 at 11 a.m. on Sept. 1. Atlantis/OV-104 (STS-74) Russian MIR-2 Docking Module OPF Bay 2 Ammonia boiler servicing was performed last night. Mid-body closeouts are continuing. The functional test of the orbital maneuvering system have been completed. Reaction control system testing is scheduled to begin next week. Preparations are beginning for the installation of the tunnel adapter. In the Vehicle Assembly Building, mechanical testing of the orbiter docking system is being performed today. Stacking of the left forward center solid rocket booster segment is complete. Preparations to hoist the right booster aft segment onto the mobile launcher platform will begin tonight with the arrival of the segment in the VAB. In the Operations and Checkout Building, the Russian MIR-2 Docking Module is being hoisted from the payload canister into a test stand to begin approximately three weeks of electrical testing. Discovery/OV-103 OPF Bay 1 Work continues to deconfigure and deservice Discovery in preparation for the ferry flight to Palmdale which is planned to begin on or about Oct. 1.
