The damage consists of about 71 holes (ranging in size from 4 inches in diameter to 1/2 inch in diameter) in the ET’s thermal protection foam insulation. Technicians are currently installing safeguards against additional damage. Managers are assessing the damage and will determine what repairs need to be made.
