NOTE: Mission managers gave the crew of Atlantis approval for the
deorbit burn to occur at about 10:58 a.m. to set the vehicle on
course for a landing at Kennedy Space Center’s Shuttle Landing
Facility today. Landing of Atlantis occurred on the first opportunity
at 12:01 p.m. on runway 33, concluding its second mission to dock
with Russia’s Mir space station.

	About 3 hours, 30 minutes after touchdown, ground crews will
be ready to tow Atlantis to Orbiter Processing Facility bay 1. Tow
operations should take about 1 hour to complete.

	Once in the OPF, post-flight deservicing will begin and
preparations will be made for Atlantis’ next mission to the Mir space
station, STS-76, scheduled for launch in March 1996.

	Preliminary post-landing inspections of Atlantis reveal the
tires and brakes to be in good condition. Tile damage will be
assessed later today and tomorrow.

	Atlantis landed on orbit 129. Touchdown times are as follows:
