KENNEDY SPACE CENTER SPACE SHUTTLE STATUS REPORT FERRY FLIGHT UPDATE April 11, 1996 5:13 PM Ferry flight status #3 The orbiter Atlantis atop the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft departed Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. at 12 noon EDT and arrived at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, Az. at 1:20 p.m. EDT. The SCA was refueled and departed Davis-Monthan at about 2:57 p.m. en route to Dyess AFB, Abilene, Tx. The orbiter/SCA landed at Dyess at about 4:55 p.m. EDT. A weather briefing will take place over the next hour to determine if they will remain at Dyess overnight, or preferably, fly on to points east, possibly Columbus, Miss., to remain overnight The earliest we expect to see the vehicle back at KSC is about mid-morning Friday.
