Overnight, engine No. 1 was installed. Also, the remote manipulator system is being installed today. Rudder speed brake checkout and Drag chute (image) installation are complete. Preparations continue for installing the remote manipulator system tomorrow. Payload bay reconfiguration for ORFEUS-SPAS and the Wake Shield Facility is nearing completion and preparations are underway for the payload pre-mate electrical tests next week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Flash evaporator system testing continues. In the Vehicle Assembly Building, stacking of the STS-80 solid rocket boosters is scheduled to begin on Aug. 29. STS-82/OV-103/Discovery HST Second Servicing Mission OPF Bay 2 Installation of the payload bay flood lights and the orbiter’s brakes are underway today. The main propulsion system functional test is complete. Testing of the cryogenic reactant system is scheduled to begin Monday. The orbiter’s forward reaction control system is scheduled for installation on Aug. 30.
