MISSION DURATION: 9 days, 5 hours
CREW SIZE: 6
ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 196-245 statute miles/51.6 degrees

NOTE: The crew of mission STS-79 arrived at KSC yesterday (image) for the
scheduled Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test to be held Tuesday
and Wednesday. At about 8:45 a.m. tomorrow, the crew will hold an
informal press conference at the pad. Work at the pad today includes
preparations to load hypergolic propellants aboard Atlantis and the
completion of the Spacehab interface verification test. (image) Also, the
Launch Readiness Review will take place at KSC this afternoon.

NOTE: Checks of the Freon coolant loops are complete and good. Main
engine securing and a functional check of the right hand orbital
maneuvering system pod are in work today.
