Endeavour is scheduled to land at KSC on Saturday, Jan. 20 at about 2:42 a.m. The STS-72 crew are: Commander Brian Duffy, Pilot Brent Jett, and Mission Specialists Leroy Chiao, Daniel Barry, Winston Scott, and representing the National Space Development Agency of Japan, Koichi Wakata. MISSION: STS-75 -- TETHERED SATELLITE-1R & USMP-3 VEHICLE: Columbia/OV-102 LOCATION: Orbiter Processing Facility Bay 2 TARGET LAUNCH DATE/TIME: Feb. 22 at 3:08 p.m. LAUNCH WINDOW: 2 hours, 30 minutes TARGET KSC LANDING DATE: March 7 at 7:38 a.m. MISSION DURATION: 13 days, 16 hours CREW SIZE: 7 ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 184 statute miles/28.45 degrees NOTE: Mid-body close-outs and final leak checks are currently in work today as preparations continue for the orbiter’s move to the Vehicle Assembly Building early next week. The payload bay doors will be closed tomorrow for the move. KEY STS-75 OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only): * Close payload bay doors for move to Vehicle Assembly Building (Friday) * Roll over to Vehicle Assembly Building (Jan. 23) * Mate orbiter to external tank (Jan. 24) * Roll out to pad 39B (Jan. 29) * Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (Feb. 1-2) * Flight readiness review (Feb. 9) MISSION: STS-76 -- 3rd MIR DOCKING VEHICLE: Atlantis/OV-104 LOCATION: Orbiter Processing Facility Bay 1 TARGET LAUNCH DATE/TIME: March 21 at about 3:34 a.m. LAUNCH WINDOW: about 6 minutes TARGET KSC LANDING DATE: March 30 at about 12:07 a.m. MISSION DURATION: 9 days CREW SIZE: 6 up -- 5 down ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 196-245 statute miles/51.6 degrees NOTE: The payload premate tests continue in work today as preparations continue for the installation of the Orbiter Docking System next week. Also, main engine installation is scheduled for next week. Solid rocket booster stacking operations are in work in the Vehicle Assembly Building.
