The clock will remain at T-19 hours until 1 a.m. Monday. For the remainder of the hold and through the weekend, controllers in the firing room will closely monitor the orbiter's systems while remaining in a launch configuration. Only limited work will be performed at the pad until the countdown begins again Monday. At pad 39B work to off-load extra cryogenics not necessary for this flight from the extended duration orbiter pallet is complete. Work then began to demate and retract the orbiter mid-body umbilical unit into the pad's Fixed Service Structure. The payload bay doors will remain closed as the Wake Shield Facility and ORFEUS-SPAS payloads require no additional servicing. An official weather forecast for Tuesday's launch will not be available until this weekend. The flight crew will remain at KSC through the weekend spending their time flying in the Shuttle Training Aircraft and reviewing mission plans.
