TARGET LAUNCH DATE/TIME: Nov. 8 at 2:47 p.m. EST
LAUNCH WINDOW: 2 hours, 30 minutes
TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Nov. 24 at 7:31 a.m.
MISSION DURATION: 15 days, 16 hours, 48 minutes
CREW: Cockrell, Rominger, Jernigan, Jones, Musgrave
ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 219 statute miles/28.45 degrees

NOTE : The STS-80 Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test was
completed yesterday and went very well.  Loading of hypergolic
reactants into the orbiter is in work today.  Leak checks on the
ground umbilical carrier plate and calibration of the orbiter’s
inertial measurement units are complete.

LAUNCH WINDOW: 7-10 minutes
TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Jan. 21, 1997 at about 8:40 a.m.
MISSION DURATION: 9 days (+1)
CREW: Baker, Jett, Grunsfeld, Ivins, Wisoff, Linenger (up) Blaha (down)
ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 184 statute miles/51.6 degrees

NOTE: Functional tests of the forward reaction control system
continue. Tests of the radar altimeter are complete.  Work to replace
window 8 is complete and replacement of windows 5 and 7 are underway.
Drag chute installation continues on Friday and hydraulic system
checks continue.

In the Vehicle Assembly Building bay 1, stacking operations continue
with the right foward center segment of STS-81’s solid rocket
boosters.  When stacking of the right side segments is complete, a
planned boroscope inspection of the left aft segment will be
conducted and the nozzle plug will removed to drain any water that
might exist.

CREW: Bowersox, Horowitz, Lee, Hawley, Harbaugh, Smith, Tanner
ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 360 statute miles/28.45 degrees

NOTE: Work to secure Discovery’s main engines continues. 
Preparations to service the ammonia boilers continue, with call to
stations scheduled for late Thursday night and servicing to begin on
Friday.
