Ordnance installation has been postponed until this weekend due to concerns with the wiring on pyrotechnics associated with the T-0 umbilicals. The pins on the ordnance wires will be inspected and ordnance operations rescheduled for Sunday. The payload interface verification test on Wake Shield Facility was conducted yesterday. A re-verification of the communications links between the payload and the orbiter will be conducted tomorrow. The payload doors remain on schedule to be closed for flight on Nov. 5. Countdown preparations and aft engine compartment close-outs will continue throughout the week. Aft close-outs are targeted for completion on Monday. The KSC launch team will continue to prepare Columbia for launch as early as Nov. 8, pending further review of the RSRM's nozzle insulation material. A firm launch date is expected to be announced following a follow-up Flight Readiness Review Monday afternoon.
