      NOTE: External tank umbilical close-outs are in work and Shuttle interface tests continue to run smoothly. Preparations to roll Atlantis out to Pad 39A will pick up today. First motion is slated for 3 a.m. tomorrow. Work to design and fabricate the clamps that will help securely fasten the "pyro can" and base plate assemblies in Atlantis' aft compartment continues. A fit check of the fabricated parts is slated for Friday and installation should occur on Tuesday. The Spacehab module arrived at Pad 39A yesterday and was then transferred to the payload ground handling mechanism inside the payload change out room.

      NOTE: Thruster replacement work continues on Columbia's forward reaction control system in the Hypergol Maintenance Facility. The forward reaction control system should return to the OPF in early May to be reinstalled on the orbiter. Technicians are preparing for postflight work on Columbia's auxiliary power units to be conducted on Saturday. Spacelab reservicing activities continue.

      Booster stacking operations continue in the Vehicle Assembly Building with mating of the right aft center segment to the right aft segment scheduled for today. The right forward center segment arrives in the VAB tonight and should be added to the right hand booster stack Friday morning.

      NOTE: Preparations to install Discovery's forward reaction control system continue today and installation is now slated for Thursday. Leak checks on valves in the main propulsion system are complete and good. Payload premate activities continue through this week.
