NOTE: The STS-84 crew's terminal countdown demonstration test activities culminated today, with a simulated main engine cutoff at 11 a.m. The crew will return to Houston today to complete prelaunch training. Final installation of the clamps that will secure the "pyro can" assembly plates in Atlantis' aft compartment is scheduled for Friday. The helium signature test is complete, and preparations to load Atlantis with hypergolic fuel are in work.

Installation of the Spacehab payload into Atlantis' cargo bay is complete, and water and electrical hook-ups are in work. The Flight Readiness Review for mission STS-84 is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow. Following this review, a firm launch date is expected to be announced.

NOTE: Postflight work on Columbia's auxiliary power units continues through today. Orbiter maneuvering system pod functional checks and main propulsion system leak and functional checks are in work through Friday. Spacelab reservicing activities will continue through Saturday.

STS-94 booster stacking operations continue in the Vehicle Assembly Building with the mating of the right forward segment to the right forward center segment in work today. Stacking of the right forward assembly begins tomorrow.

NOTE: Discovery will remain powered down so technicians can verify replacement wiring in the payload bay. Due to the vehicle's power down status, the forward reaction control system will undergo interface verification tests tomorrow rather than today. Payload premate activities continue through next week.

MISSION: STS-88 -- FIRST ISS ASSEMBLY FLIGHT

ENDEAVOUR (OV-105) NOTE: Endeavour is located in Orbiter Processing Facility bay 3. Work to deservice the orbiter's freon coolant loop is complete. Removal of the FRCS simulator and orbiter maneuvering system pod simulators, used during the ferry flight from Palmdale, CA, continue through Wednesday.
