Cryogenic loading of the CRISTA-SPAS payload is in work and launch countdown preparations continue on schedule.

• CREW: Wetherbee, Bloomfield, Parazynski, Titov, Chretien, Lawrence, Wolf (up), Foale (down)
• ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 160 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

NOTE: Retests of Atlantis' oxidizer cross-feed line are complete. Aft compartment close-outs continue through Monday and structural leak checks are slated for Tuesday. Orbiter weight and center of gravity tests are scheduled for Thursday. Atlantis will be placed on the orbiter transfer vehicle next Friday in preparation for its Aug. 11 roll over to the Vehicle Assembly Building. Installation of thermal protection tiles for the forward reaction control system continues through next week. In the VAB, external tank/solid rocket booster close-outs continue through Tuesday.

NOTE: Deservicing of Columbia's freon coolant is loop No. 2 is in work today. Radiator inspections are under way. Work to deservice the orbiter's oxidizer cross-feed line is on hold while workers prepare for Shuttle main engine removal, slated to begin Aug. 6.
