
STS-86 -- 7th MIR DOCKING & SPACEHAB DM
NOTE: Atlantis' hypergolic fuel load concluded last night. Installation of the pyrotechnic canister assemblies at the aft external tank/orbiter attach points is in work today. The main propulsion system cavity purge will occur today and engineers will gain access to the rudder speed break sector seals for final inspections. The Shuttle's payload bay doors will be opened on Sept. 5 to support vertical payload installation. The Spacehab payload is now slated for delivery to Pad 39A on Sept. 4. No work is scheduled this weekend.
STS-86 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):
STS-87 -- U.S. MICROGRAVITY PAYLOAD-4NOTE: Remote manipulator system installation is complete and functional testing of Columbia's waste collection system is under way. Electrical mates of the oxidizer cross-feed line and functional testing of the left orbiter maneuvering system's gaseous nitrogen relief valve are in work. Helium system leak and functional tests are in work. Booster stacking operations are under way with mating of the right aft center segment complete.

STS-89 -- 8th MIR DOCKING & SPACEHAB DM
NOTE: Installation of fuel cell No. 2 is in work and electrical mates are slated for tonight. Servicing of Endeavour's ammonia boiler is scheduled for Friday. Modifications of the orbiter's left and right elevon coves continue through next week and body flap repair work concludes Friday. Technicians are replacing and retesting several transducers on the forward reaction control system in the Hypergol Maintenance Facility.
STS-91 -- 9th MIR DOCKING & SPACEHAB DMNOTE: Preparations are in work for the deservicing of the Shuttle's orbiter maneuvering system and auxiliary power units on Thursday. Display electronics unit No. 1 is being installed today and payload equipment removal continues.
