      • LAUNCH WINDOW: 2 hours, 30 minutes

      • MISSION DURATION: 15 days, 16 hours, 29 minutes
      • CREW: Halsell, Still, Voss, Thomas, Gernhardt, Linteris, Crouch
      • ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 160 nautical miles/28.45 degrees

      NOTE: Installation of the main engine heat shields is compete and aft engine compartment close-outs continue. Final inspections and repairs to the body-flap cove are continuing this week. Fuel cell voltage checks also continue today. Final payload bay cleaning is expected to be finished today followed by closing of the payload bay doors as early as tonight.

      NOTE: Closed-bay operations to remove and replace a faulty reaction control system thruster is complete and close-outs of the orbital maneuvering system is in work today. Installation of the left hand orbital maneuvering engine actuator is also in work today. Stacking of the solid rocket boosters in the Vehicle Assembly Building also continues.

      STS-84 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):

      * Install forward reaction control system (March 6)
      * Begin installation of Space Shuttle main engines (March 6-7)
      * Mate external tank to solid rocket boosters (March 10)

      NOTE: Over the weekend, workers secured Discovery in the OPF and completed the off-load of residual cryogenics in the onboard storage tanks. Access to the vehicle's aft engine compartment and mid-body are underway today. The payload bay doors will be opened later in the week and the payloads removed next Monday.

      STS-85 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):

      * Open payload bay doors (Thursday)
      * Remove payloads (March 3)
      * Complete off-load of residual hypergolic propellants (March 5)
