NOTE: Close-out work in Columbia's mid-body went well over the weekend with Spacelab transfer tunnel installation completed on Saturday and the interface verification test completed on Sunday. Spacelab close-outs are wrapping up today and the payload bay doors will be closed for flight this afternoon. The orbiter's move to the Vehicle Assembly Building is currently scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. The external tank and solid rocket booster stack await Columbia's arrival in high bay 1. Once in the VAB, wiring work will continue in the Shuttle's avionics bay 4 and electrical check-outs of an auxiliary power unit will pick-up.

NOTE: Close-outs of Discovery's aft engine compartment are in work this week. Mid-body close-outs continue on schedule. With engine installation completed, heat shield installation will begin next week. Solid rocket booster stacking operations continue in the Vehicle Assembly Building.

NOTE: Off-loading of hypergolic propellants from Atlantis' orbiter maneuvering system is in work today. Preparations are underway for main engine removal currently scheduled for Thursday. Spacehab removal was completed today.

STS-89 -- 8th MIR DOCKING & SPACEHAB DMNOTE: Endeavour will remain in temporary storage in the VAB until Columbia is rolled out of OPF bay No. 3 and to the VAB for mating operations. Once the OPF is open, Endeavour will be moved over and processing will begin for mission, STS-89.
