NOTE: Columbia's payload bay doors were closed for flight yesterday. Today, technicians are wrapping up close-out work in the orbiter's aft compartment and performing some tile work on nose of the vehicle. Preparations are in work for the orbiter's move to the Vehicle Assembly Building targeted for tomorrow at about 11 a.m. The external tank and solid rocket boosters await Columbia in VAB high bay 1 for a hard mate to be completed on Thursday. Once in the VAB, wiring work will continue in the Shuttle's avionics bay 4 and electrical check-outs of an auxiliary power unit will pick-up.

NOTE: Off-loading of hypergolic propellants from Atlantis' orbiter maneuvering system is complete. Preparations are underway for main engine removal currently scheduled for Thursday. The Spacehab module was removed from Atlantis' cargo bay yesterday and is currently located in KSC's Vertical Processing Facility where it will undergo post flight servicing and preparation for its next flight.

NOTE: Preparations are in work to move Endeavour from the VAB to OPF bay 1 tomorrow. Once Columbia arrives in the VAB for mating operations, Endeavour will be moved over and processing will begin for mission STS-89.
