      • LAUNCH WINDOW: 2 hours, 30 minutes
      • TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: April 19 at about 7:37 a.m. EDT
      • MISSION DURATION: 15 days, 16 hours, 36 minutes
      • CREW: Halsell, Still, Voss, Thomas, Gernhardt, Linteris, Crouch
      • ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 160 nautical miles/28.45 degrees

      NOTE: Columbia is scheduled to be transported to the VAB Tuesday morning for mate to the external tank. Work on the orbiter’s external tank door and 17-inch disconnect area is in the final stages. Later today, the orbiter will be placed on the orbiter transporter for move to the VAB. First motion is estimated to occur at about 8 a.m. tomorrow.

      * Roll to Vehicle Assembly Building and mate with external tank (Tuesday)
      * Roll out to Pad A (first motion set for 7 a.m. March 10)
      * Hot fire auxiliary power unit No. 2 (March 10)

      NOTE: Preparations continue for Space Shuttle main engine installation and forward reaction control system installation this week. Orbital maneuvering system pod close-outs continue in work today. Joint close-outs of the solid rocket boosters in the Vehicle Assembly Building are underway.

      NOTE: The payload bay doors are open and the payloads (former Hubble Space Telescope instruments) are being removed today. A functional check of the orbital maneuvering system is in work. Deservicing of the hypergolic system will begin tomorrow.

      STS-85 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):
      * Off-load of residual hypergolic propellants (Tuesday-Wednesday)
      * Remove Space Shuttle main engines (March 28)
