NOTE: Columbia's move to the VAB has been rescheduled for tomorrow evening as a result of problems encountered during close-outs of the 17-inch disconnect area on the orbiter. During close-outs, inserts were found stripped when screws used to secure the umbilical flow liner were installed. Four of the six inserts have been replaced but access to the remaining two inserts is restricted. The orbiter must be powered-up to reposition the disconnect valve for access and a special tool is being fabricated to complete the work. Close-outs should be finished tonight and, tomorrow, the orbiter will be placed on the orbiter transporter for move to the VAB. First motion is estimated to occur at around 8 p.m. tomorrow. No impact to the overall scheduled is expected and roll out to Pad 39A remains set for next Monday morning.
