      • LAUNCH WINDOW: 2 hours, 30 minutes

      • MISSION DURATION: 15 days, 16 hours, 36 minutes
      • CREW: Halsell, Still, Voss, Thomas, Gernhardt, Linteris, Crouch
      • ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 160 nautical miles/28.45 degrees

      NOTE: Columbia is set to move to the VAB shortly after noon today. Inserts necessary to secure an umbilical flow liner in the orbiter's 17-inch disconnect area were installed overnight. Power-up was not required and close-outs of the umbilical area are now complete. The orbiter was placed on the orbiter transporter early this morning and the landing gear retracted. Once in the Vehicle Assembly Building, Columbia will be lifted to the vertical position and mated to the external tank and solid rocket boosters in VAB high bay No. 1. The Shuttle interface test will begin this weekend and roll out to Pad 39A remains set for Monday, March 10.

      • MISSION DURATION: 9 days, 3 hours, 45 minutes
      • CREW: Precourt, Collins, Foale, Noriega, Lu, Clervoy, Kondakova
      • ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 160 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

      NOTE: The forward reaction control system was mechanically installed on the orbiter overnight. Electrical connections will continue today. The Space Shuttle main engines will be installed beginning tomorrow. Engine No. 1 has already been delivered to the OPF in preparation for this work. Orbital maneuvering system pod close-outs and mid-body close-outs continue in work today.

      • CREW: Brown, Ashby, Davis, Curbeam, Robinson, Tryggvason
      • ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 160 nautical miles/57 degrees

      NOTE: Deservicing of the hypergolic system has begun. This hazardous operation to remove residuals from the reaction control system will keep the bay closed to non-essential personnel and other work through most of the day. Tomorrow when the bay reopens, an orbiter navigational aid activation test is scheduled and hydraulic system inspections will begin.
