      • TARGET LAUNCH DATE/TIME: April 3 at 2:01 p.m. EST
      • LAUNCH WINDOW: 2 hours, 30 minutes
      • TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: April 19 at about 7:37 a.m. EDT
      • MISSION DURATION: 15 days, 16 hours, 36 minutes
      • CREW: Halsell, Still, Voss, Thomas, Gernhardt, Linteris, Crouch
      • ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 160 nautical miles/28.45 degrees

      NOTE: Columbia was moved to the Vehicle Assembly Building yesterday with first motion from OPF Bay 1 occurring at about 1 p.m. Overnight, Columbia was lifted to the vertical position and mated to the external tank and solid rocket boosters. Hard mate is expected to be complete by early afternoon today. The Shuttle interface test will begin this weekend and roll out to Pad 39A is scheduled for Monday, March 10.

      * Roll out to Pad 39A (first motion set for 7 a.m. March 10)
      * Hot fire auxiliary power unit No. 2 (March 10)

      • MISSION DURATION: 9 days, 3 hours, 45 minutes
      • CREW: Precourt, Collins, Foale, Noriega, Lu, Clervoy, Kondakova
      • ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 160 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

      NOTE: Electrical connections between the forward reaction control system and the orbiter are complete. Today, the Space Shuttle main engines are being installed. Engine No. 1 will be installed by this afternoon, followed by engine No. 3 tonight and engine No. 2 early tomorrow morning. Mid-body close-outs also continue in work today.

      • CREW: Brown, Ashby, Davis, Curbeam, Robinson, Tryggvason
      • ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 160 nautical miles/57 degrees

      NOTE: Deservicing of the hypergolic system is complete and the bay has been reopened for routine work. The orbiter navigational aid activation test has been rescheduled for next week. Today, the main landing gear wheel and tire assembly will be removed and the brakes inspected.
