NOTE: Following yesterday's Flight Readiness Review, Shuttle managers announced May 15 as the official launch date of Atlantis on mission STS-84. Today, Pad 39A remains closed to all but necessary personnel in support of hypergolic propellant loading activities. Oxidizer loading is complete and fuel loading will continue through tonight. The pad will reopen on Friday morning for normal work.

Preparations are in work to mate the transfer tunnel to the crew compartment and the Spacehab module. The payload bay doors will be opened tomorrow. Tunnel leak checks are slated for tomorrow and cabin leak checks will occur over the weekend. Solid rocket booster close-outs are in work.

Work on the forward reaction control system continues in preparation for delivery to the OPF on Monday. Spacelab reservicing activities continue and experiment testing will be in work over the next two weeks.

NOTE: Forward reaction control system interface verification tests continue through tomorrow. Inspections and close-outs in Discovery's midbody continue. Next week technicians will cycle Discovery's external tank doors to check out the power drive units. Payload premate activities are in work through next week.
