The solid rocket booster retrieval ships began recovery operations at about 6 a.m. yesterday and are expected to return to Hangar AF with boosters in tow today at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

NOTE: Main engine installation and securing were completed this week and forward reaction control system external close-outs are in work. Ammonia servicing preparations are underway. Columbia's nose landing gear is closed for tile work and heat shield installation will pickup tomorrow. Work to connect auxiliary power unit fuel lines is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. Evaluations of Columbia's fuel cell performance monitors are in work.

The forward extension of the tunnel adapter is being installed today. During Spacelab health checks earlier this week, payload technicians identified a error message on a mass memory unit and work to remove and replace that MMU is complete. In the VAB, external tank/SRB mating operations were completed on Tuesday.

MISSION: STS-88 -- ISS-01-2A

ENDEAVOUR (OV-105) NOTE: Endeavour is located in Orbiter Processing Facility bay 3. Servicing of freon coolant loop No. 1 was completed on Wednesday. The main propulsion system gaseous hydrogen blowdown is complete. Preparations are underway to roll Endeavour to the Vehicle Assembly Building next week to make room in the OPF for Atlantis, once it lands at KSC on Saturday.
