NOTE: The solid rocket booster recovery ships arrived at Hangar AF, with the STS-84 boosters in tow, on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Preliminary inspections reveal no abnormal nozzle erosion. The nozzles are scheduled for shipment to Utah on May 27.

The Space Shuttle Atlantis successfully docked with the Mir space station on Friday at 10:33 p.m. EDT.

NOTE: Heat shield installation continues. Work to connect auxiliary power unit fuel lines begins today. Evaluations continue on the performance monitors for Columbia's fuel cells.

Over the weekend, technicians noted a frayed pyrotechnic cable in the orbiter's cargo bay. The pyrotechnic device would be used to jettison the Ku band antenna if it were unable to retract in flight. Because of its location, the cable must be repaired before the Spacelab transfer tunnel is installed. The transfer tunnel is now slated for installation on Friday rather than Tuesday. At this time managers do not expect the additional work to impact Columbia's target date to roll to the VAB.

ENDEAVOUR (OV-105) NOTE: Endeavour is located in Orbiter Processing Facility bay 3. Preparations are underway to roll Endeavour to the Vehicle Assembly Building on Friday morning to make room in the OPF for Atlantis, once it lands at KSC on Saturday.
