The Atlantis-Mir complex is in its fifth and final day of joint docking operations and the crews have successfully completed the transfer of all Mir resupply items. Atlantis will separate from the Russian space station at about 9:04 p.m. ending more than 120 hours of docked activities.

The crew of STS-84 are: Commander Charles Precourt, Pilot Eileen Collins and Mission Specialists Jean-Francois Clervoy, Carlos Noriega, Edward Lu, Elena Kondakova, Michael Foale (up) and Jerry Linenger (down).

NOTE: The heat shields have been installed on engines No. 2 and No. 3 and final heat shield installation is in work today. Work to connect auxiliary power unit fuel lines is complete. Cable and wiring work in the midbody is complete and close-outs are in work.

The Spacelab transfer tunnel will be installed on Friday and payload technicians continue to troubleshoot a remote acquisition unit on Spacelab. The payload bay doors are now scheduled for closure on May 31.

ENDEAVOUR (OV-105) NOTE: Endeavour is located in Orbiter Processing Facility bay 3. Preparations are underway to roll Endeavour to the Vehicle Assembly Building on Friday morning to make room in the OPF for Atlantis, once it lands at KSC on Saturday.
