NOTE: Yesterday at Hangar AF, both nozzles from the STS-84 solid rocket boosters were removed and the right hand nozzle and nozzle-to-case joint evaluations are complete. Evaluations of the left hand nozzle are in work today. Shipment of the nozzles to Utah is scheduled for May 27.

Five days of joint operations between Atlantis and Mir concluded last night when the Shuttle undocked from the Russian space station at 9:04 p.m. EDT. About 7,000 pounds of supplies, experiments and water were transferred between the two vehicles. Atlantis drifted away leaving astronaut Mike Foale as Jerry Linenger's replacement aboard Mir. Forecasters expect acceptable weather conditions at KSC to support a target landing time of 7:52 a.m. on Saturday. A second landing opportunity at KSC occurs at 9:28 a.m.

The crew of STS-84 are: Commander Charles Precourt, Pilot Eileen Collins and Mission Specialists Jean-Francois Clervoy, Carlos Noriega, Edward Lu, Elena Kondakova, Michael Foale (up) and Jerry Linenger (down).

The Spacelab transfer tunnel is slated for installation on Friday. The payload bay doors are now scheduled for closure on May 31.

MISSION: STS-88 -- ISS-01-2A

ENDEAVOUR (OV-105) NOTE: Endeavour is located in Orbiter Processing Facility bay 3. Preparations are underway to roll Endeavour to the Vehicle Assembly Building on Friday at about 9 a.m. to make room in the OPF for Atlantis, once it lands at KSC on Saturday.

Mission managers are meeting today to review the possibility of flying Endeavour on a mission prior to STS-88, which is now targeted for launch in July of 1998.
