NOTE: Because of cracks on thermal protective tiles near Columbia's forward reaction control system, 12 tiles have been removed and additional tiles may be removed as inspections continue. The additional tile work is not expected to impact Columbia's planned roll out date of June 11, since a majority of the replacement work will be performed at the pad.

Close-out work in the orbiter's mid-body wraps up today and the Spacelab transfer tunnel installation begins this afternoon. Columbia's roll to the Vehicle Assembly Building is scheduled to occur no earlier than the evening of June 4.

NOTE: Inspections of Atlantis' forward reaction control system thrusters continue today. Post flight inspections of the pyro-can assemblies in the orbiter's aft compartment were good, revealing only minimal wear on the bolt holes and fabricated parts. The fabricated parts were installed prior to the STS-84 launch to alleviate deformation of the assembly and performed well in flight.

Preparation to off-load hypergolic propellants from Atlantis' orbiter maneuvering system begins tonight. Preparations are also underway to support the removal of Spacehab from the payload bay early Monday morning.

NOTE: Endeavour will remain in temporary storage in the VAB until Columbia is rolled out of OPF bay No. 3 and to the VAB for mating operations. Once the OPF is open, Endeavour will be moved over and processing will begin for mission, STS-89.
