
STS-86 -- 7th MIR DOCKING & SPACEHAB DM
NOTE: Installation of the pyrotechnic canister assemblies at the aft external tank/orbiter attach points is complete and close-outs are in work. Engineers are evaluating data gathered from inspections of Atlantis' rudder speed brake sector seals. The Spacehab payload will be delivered to Pad 39A on Thursday and its installation into the Shuttle's cargo bay is slated for Friday.
STS-86 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):
STS-87 -- U.S. MICROGRAVITY PAYLOAD-4NOTE: Work to replace a quick disconnect on Columbia's freon coolant loop is complete and leak checks are in work. Servicing of the coolant loop begins later this week. Work to connect the oxidizer cross-feed line to the orbiter maneuvering system continues. Fuel cell monitoring modifications continue in Columbia's midbody and window polishing is ongoing. Preparations begin this week for installation of Shuttle main engines No. 1 and No. 2. Main engine No. 3 is slated for installation in late September.

STS-89 -- 8th MIR DOCKING & SPACEHAB DM
NOTE: Servicing of Endeavour's ammonia boiler is complete and good. Ku-band and radar testing continues through Friday. Today final securing of fuel cell No. 2 is under way and preparations for validation are in work. Electrical connection of the Shuttle's docking mechanism continues through Wednesday. In the Hypergol Maintenance Facility, technicians are working to replace the 5 remaining faulty transducers in Endeavour's forward reaction control system. Weight-saving modifications on the orbiter's elevon coves and repair work on the body flap continue.
STS-91 -- 9th MIR DOCKING & SPACEHAB-SMNOTE: Deservicing of the Shuttle's orbiter maneuvering system and auxiliary power units is complete. Retests on the replaced display electronic unit will occur tomorrow. Testing of Discovery's forward reaction control system occurs later this week. Preparations continue for Shuttle main engine removal scheduled for early next week.
