      NOTE: Atlantis' aft compartment close-outs continue and the aft doors are slated for installation on Thursday. Payload close-outs continue and the payload interface verification test will conclude today. Preparations are in work for ordnance connection on Monday. The STS-86 Flight Readiness Review is under way today at KSC.

      NOTE: Columbia's remote manipulator system (RMS) or robot arm is slated for removal on Monday because of faulty digital amplifiers in the arm's joints. Shuttle managers plan to replace the RMS with one that was removed from Discovery earlier this week. Space Shuttle main engines No. 1 and No. 2 will be installed next week, pending resolution of NASA's block IIA engine investigation. Auxiliary power unit lubrication and oil servicing is under way.

      NOTE: Installation of Endeavour's auxiliary power unit No. 1 continues through Saturday. Inspections of the left hand orbital maneuvering system are complete and pod installation is in work through Saturday. Leak and functional tests on the Shuttle's main propulsion system continue. Ku-band, communication and radar system tests are in work today. In the Hypergol Maintenance Facility, replacement of the forward reaction control system's (FRCS) last faulty transducer is slated for Monday.

      NOTE: Auxiliary power unit removal is in work and functional tests of Discovery's forward reaction control system continue through Tuesday. Hydraulic system inspections are scheduled for early next week and main propulsion system leak and functional tests begin Monday.
