Processing Note |
|
Launch controllers began loading Space Shuttle
Atlantis' external tank for the third time today at about 6:05 a.m. During the
standard pretanking meeting, engineers discussed no significant technical issues
and the forecast indicated only a 10 percent chance that weather could prohibit
launch today.
The forecast
calls for
scattered clouds at 4,000 feet; visibility at 7 miles; northwest winds at 14
gusting to 20 knots and temperature at 76 degrees F. Officials indicate a slight
chance of low cloud ceilings. Winds at the Shuttle Landing Facility are forecast
to be northwesterly at 12 gusting to 18 knots.
