| NOTE |
| Mission STS-101 began
on time this morning with a flawless dawn liftoff of Space Shuttle Atlantis at 6:11:10
a.m. No significant technical problems were worked during the final hours of the countdown
today. The two solid rocket booster recovery ships,
Freedom Star and Liberty Star, deployed into the Atlantic Ocean yesterday morning and are
currently on station with the STS-101 boosters. Depending upon weather conditions during
recovery operations, the ships are expected to arrive at Hangar AF by Sunday morning.
Booster inspections will commence next week followed by segment and motor disassembly.
