At Hangar AF, the
solid rocket booster disassembly process continues on schedule. Forward and aft skirts
were removed from both boosters yesterday and nozzle removal occurs today. All segment
hardware and solid rocket motor inspections indicate booster performance was normal and no
abnormal damage was sustained. Standard groundwork is underway at the Shuttle Landing
Facility this week in preparation for Monday's planned landing of Shuttle Atlantis.

| Leak checks of Discovery's
main propulsion system are complete. Engine heat shield installation is in progress. This week
drag chute door and frame evaluation if scheduled. Payload bay door closure occurred Monday.
In the Vehicle Assembly Building, workers are lubricating the
250-ton crane before continuing booster stacking operations. Managers currently plan to resume
stacking of the right-hand solid rocket booster early next week. Once the right hand booster is
completed, engineers will begin a planned assessment of booster field joints for about 2 weeks.
Left-hand booster stacking will commence following that effort.

Testing of Endeavour's
power reactant storage and distribution system is complete. Preparation is in work to replace the
right-hand orbiter maneuvering system engine. Technicians are installing the orbiter's main
landing gear wheels and tires. Later this week, workers will install the docking system on the
orbiter's airlock.
