Shuttle Processing Note
Prelaunch processing of Space Shuttle Discovery continues at Launch Pad 39A toward a target launch date of Oct. 5. The standard Helium Signature Test conducted last Friday indicated a small leak in the orbiter's main propulsion system. Shuttle engineers are developing a troubleshooting plan to address the leak and expect no impact to the target launch day. Over the weekend, workers successfully loaded Discovery's onboard propellant tanks.
